What a wonderfull day… and such a cool and fun couple. It was a great conjunction for a perfect Trash the Dress.
Michelle and Tho from England got married the day before with only their close family, they wanted a shooting only for the day after, good for me, so we had some photos in the center of La fortuna with the family before going to Tabacon for some hot springs shots… we stopped on the way when we spotted that nice pasture…
I really enjoy everything, exepted the fact that my beloved 14mm-24mm 2.8 fall from one meter and got stucked to 14mm (not loosing any sharpness)… good that I´ll be in Paris in a week, got to visit Nikon…

Where: La Fortuna center and Tabacon resort and hot spring.
Hannah and Brett were really fun, totally in love and open to every idea, well, in fact she was also terrified to get on top of the limo in case some hidden spiders were there… Everything went fine.

…really soon new computer, after some new pocket wizards and a lot of new smaller photography gadgets…
So 2012 is a big time for changement and that is all good with me, I had so much work since last November that I could not even update the blog with all the weddings shot, all the new condo and beautiful villas we have done during the dry season… Portrait session and more personal projects that I try to fit in, but I keep faith in the fact that I will do, at least with some of the photography session shots.
I am just back from a wedding in Arenal, and right after my shooting time (quite rainny…) I saw that the sky got clear and the Arenal volcano stands beautifully under the milky way:
Really nice blog post by +Kristina Tigue of Perenial weddings (http://www.perennialweddings.com/) about Mel & steve wedding down here in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.
I shot the photos and +Jonathan Yonkers made the video.
I’m Happy That Kristina choosed that one photo at the top of the post, it is one of my favorite of that day.

Toh has been doing photography for about 15 years, both commercially and now for weddings. He lives in Tamarindo with his family and we thoroughly enjoy working with him!
What do you do? I capture moments and create images.
Where are you from? Born and raised in the center of good old Europe: France.
Who are you in 5 words? Image lover creative curious photographer
What is your style? I guess it is either documentary or carefully crafted funky photography.
What is your favorite part of a wedding? Why? Just after the ceremony, when all the stress is down, people totally relax and just appreciate the moment they are living, not anymore the anticipation of it.
What do you find to be the most memorable about a wedding? Well, the fact that it happened…
What is a tip you would like to give brides and grooms about weddings? Relax… take it easy, especially if you are in Costa Rica… Enjoy the moment don’t ruin it with unnecessary stress, don’t be a BrideZilla, be a Pura Vida Bride…
In a few sentences, as to not bore us
, what brought you to Costa Rica? A travel habit fueled by curiosity. I have visited a lot of countries but fell in love with Costa Rica.
What is your favorite place in Costa Rica. Why? Tamarindo and surroundings of course (I live there…), for the beautiful bay, beach and waves, but also for the crazy multicultural community living here.
What do you love about your line of work? Almost everything, how can’t you love being on the beach or other beautiful settings, taking photographs of happy people who give you their trust… honestly…
Tell me something, anything. My daughter is the most intelligent and beautiful girl in the world… and nothing beats a real baguette sandwich with butter and cornichons…

When I discovered the "trash the dress" style and scene, it was like a real oxygen bubble, it opens a lot of new doors, opportunities and pleasure for me as a photographer and business owner… As I am shooting a lot of destination wedding down here in Costa Rica, the customers are maybe more appealed by something different than what they can imagine or accept home… Also we have such wonderful, crazy, exotic spot that it make the shooting a delight for me, and for them… really a win win… I'll post more of those in the coming days…
